As I checked into the Hotel Indigo in Dallas, Texas, I was excited to experience a luxurious stay. However, my excitement was short-lived as I soon discovered several issues with my room and the hotel's overall service.

Firstly, my room was located right off the elevator, which proved to be a noisy nightmare. The constant sound of footsteps and chatter made it difficult for me to rest. Additionally, when we arrived at the hotel, they informed us that they wouldn't be able to provide us with their shuttle service since we were attending a conference.

Another issue I encountered was the lack of amenities in my room. There was no full-length mirror, which was inconvenient for me. The fitness center was also quite small and only had two treadmills, which was disappointing given the hotel's focus on providing a relaxing experience for its guests.

Furthermore, upon closer inspection, I noticed that my room had dust in the corners and showed signs of wear and tear. The scuff marks on the walls and furniture were evident, giving the impression of a lack of maintenance. To make matters worse, the TV in my room didn't work properly, requiring me to call maintenance twice during my stay.

During my stay, I also experienced issues with the elevators. At one point, we had to take the stairs up and down several times due to a malfunctioning elevator. This was frustrating, especially when we were running late for our conference.

In terms of cleanliness, I was not impressed. There was a long wait for rooms when we checked in because they didn't have clean rooms available. The staff seemed overwhelmed, which made it difficult for them to attend to our needs promptly.

Despite these issues, the concierge at the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable.

In brighter news, the company behind Hotel Indigo is expected to see a significant increase in bookings as we move towards pre-pandemic levels by 2022. The company has also reported that it will be cash flow positive by June, which bodes well for its future prospects.

As I reflect on my stay at Hotel Indigo, I am left with mixed feelings. While the hotel's staff and location are pleasant, there are several areas where improvement is needed. With a little attention to detail and maintenance, this hotel could truly shine and provide an exceptional experience for its guests.
