Moving Your Photos to the Cloud: Why You Don't Need Picasa Anymore

If you take most of your photos with a smartphone, the Google Photos app is fully automatic for uploading your photos to your Google account online and making them available on all your devices, including your computers. But what about those old pictures that are still stored on your computer or external hard drives? By uploading them to your Google account in the cloud, you'll have your entire lifetime of photos at your fingertips.

Picasa is a computer-based program, while Google Photos is cloud-based. The world of technology is moving towards the cloud, and it's time to make the transition. You can still use Picasa if you want, but keep in mind that it may no longer be officially supported in the future. If you buy a new computer, you may have trouble finding the Picasa installation file.
